Two of Disks

This card marks a time of transition. Constant change is the basic cosmic rule. It is necessary to recognize this law and to become its ally, instead of fighting against progress. To stagnate, means to be trapped in cycles, which are unhealthy for our spiritual and physical wellbeing. If we can’t adapt to a new environment, the radius of our ability to act, shrinks to a minimum. We may not even recognize it at first, but soon find ourselves trapped in our self-made prison. The challenge of this card is to acknowledge turning points and the tides of life and act accordingly. We must find our will to see beauty in opposites and welcome the changes, which await us.  Movement is required, even if it may cost quite an effort, at times. It is important to act, according to these natural cycles and not to fight them accidentally. Not every action suits our needs. It wouldn’t be wise to put on sunscreen instead of a jacket in winter, or to play videogames all day long, when searching for a job. We need to balance our inner strife for comfort and satisfaction and may find meaning in the truth, that within every extreme, an opposite is already hidden. The Ying Yang symbol shows to us, that often the answer already rests within our actions and cycles, even if we may close our eyes to these veiled treasures in the past. This can be a time of recognition and real change, often to an unexpected and tremendously rewarding outcome.
