On this card, the all-seeing eye opens up to initiate creation – the physical big bang. The double slit experiment suggests that only by observing something, it can actually be. We may look into the beautiful paradox of physics that light is both a wave, and a particle. Its properties change, only by being observed.
In close proximity to the eye, we see the forms are still very round and creative. Looking further away, the shapes get more structured and fixed.
The flowers of life, (or the different trees of life) which structure around the eye are not filled with patterns yet. They are already plain and primed, waiting to be irradiated by light. This means, that the structure of the path, we may choose, are already in our grasp, but not yet touched. The light and the spark of an idea or a flash of inspiration is still missing and can only spread, if walking in the right direction. We finished dreaming and planning, it is time to be active and harvest the crops, which have been sowed in the previous phases of our lives.
Often we tend to complain about a path, that’s not working out properly, or fast enough. Instead of talking about problems, it is necessary to focus on the solution. To choose a specific direction and to start walking on this path is the task at hand. The time of thinking and closing our eyes on acting is over. At this point, speculating further would be symbolic for „light being a wave“, vague and without substance. We need to start doing something and become „light as a particle“, practical and specific.
The rings, which work as a constraint to the light are arranged in the ficcobacci sequence. They mark the interstations on the path, to gather our strengths, before walking on.
This time of personal expansion is usually an incredibly positive one. It can be a fulfilling experience, to share our triumphs with others and not keep it all to ourselves. The threat of greed is implicated in all disc cards and these archetypes mustn’t be underestimated. Since we are ruled by time and space, it is necessary, to take steady steps and not to run, like life is a marathon. Proper development takes it’s time and cannot be rushed. There is a danger in tripping and succumbing to stress and overhasty decision making. This can be avoided, by growing rather slowly then breaking all boundaries. In a practical sense this means, investing in a broader spectrum, not in great quantities. Often, we need to think about sacrificing profit for personal time. There is a balance in success, which should be respected and not be exploited.
